Welcome to the site and our Wicked Capital extended family!

Through our blog, Wicked Capital seeks to educate, motivate, and empower everyday folks to grow their own passive-income streams through a powerful and proven investment strategy known as dividend-growth investing (DGI).

To accomplish this important mission,
we deliver three content streams:

Investing Education

Helping to build your general investing knowledge through articles and special series--with a focus on dividend growth investing.

Our Public Portfolio

Follow along with us as we track and update everyone on the performance of our own dividend growth portfolio--unique access to observe real investing and the power of DGI!

Common Sense Analysis

Read our analysis of specific companies, partnerships, trusts and sectors, as well as macro views of the overall current markets, economies and business cycles.

Our Overall Investing Strategy

As dividend-growth investors, we are unabashedly all about generating passive income–meaning, cash flow baby! (To reinvest now… and retire on later)

We take a long-term perspective on investing–preferring to buy and hold in our DGI portfolios forever, unless an asset triggers one of our few and emotionally-detached sell signals.

While we are also engaged in short-term trading and mid-term growth investing (when the markets are favorable), dividend growth investing is the foundation upon which all our other accounts are constructed upon (and funnel into) and it is the focus of this blog.

We–like some of the best investors of all time (e.g., the likes of Buffett, Lynch and Greenblatt… just to mention a few)–believe this strategy and approach to investing provides the best method for achieving long-run alpha (out-performance) through the power of increasing compounding (via increasing yield-on-cost or YOC), while minimizing portfolio volatility.

We employ a hybrid approach that combines the opportunities provided by sector rotation investing and empirically-backed factor investing.

At its heart and soul, we are focused on dividend payers with:

A factor that empirical evidence indicates has out-performed the broader markets by 3.5% over the long term.

A factor that empirical evidence indicates has out-performed the broader markets by 1.6% over the long term.

low beta

A factor that empirical evidence indicates has out-performed the broader markets by 0.8% over the long term.

It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to build passive income and wealth through investing!

But it does take a little knowledge, effort and discipline.

Investment success accrues not so much to the brilliant as to the disciplined."

We’re certainly not brilliant by any stretch of the imagination… but we are here to share what we’ve learned (the good, the bad and the ugly!) and share in the rewarding investing journey with our community.

Whether your a seasoned investor or just getting started, we’re confident you’ll find value on our digital pages.

Whether your investing to retire in 40 years, 10 years, or are somewhere on the “financial independence and retire early” (FIRE) road…

We encourage you to read our articles and blogs–and leverage them as you see fit for your own personal and financial betterment. We strive to only provide the best educational value we can… but NEVER blindly trust us (see the requisite disclaimers below)–always do your own due diligence!

The greater the passive income you can build, the freer you will become."
